—tell us about what you create:

My focus goes into the creation of unique ceramic pieces and collaborations with interior designers.

—describe the typical process of making your ceramic art?

The first step is on paper, where ideas come together with more technical aspects such as materials and sizes. Once I define a shape, I move on to the clay and start wedging. It’s a great feeling because while you wedge you can pass the design information to the material. The next step is the wheel together with hand building techniques. After this, it’s drying time which normally takes a few weeks. This step is followed by bisque firing, glazing and lastly, firing.   Surrendering to the process is key in ceramics.

—the most important piece you've made to date?

A custom made table consisting of several ceramic pieces/shapes joined together by a round glass top.

—a city or place that consistently fuels your creativity and why it resonates with you:

Ibiza, the place I was born and have spent most of my life. Nature, the sea or the forest is where I enjoy the most; the sense of freedom it offers is a real gift.

—can you share any upcoming projects or exhibitions you're excited about?

I’m really excited about my upcoming exhibition “ALQUIMIA” happening in Milano at the stunning Lucio Di Rosa LDR22 showroom during Milan Design Week.

—a dream collaboration:

Camper, Studio KO, Serax.

—on your coffee table right now:

The Incal by Jodorowsky and Moebius.

—favourite hotel in the world:

The Retreat at Blue Lagoon, Iceland.

—design hero:

Ray & Charles Eames.
