Angel Martin Studio is passionate about design. That’s why they are so proud of the results they achieve. They always seek beauty in simplicity, yet every project they do is unique. Their designs combine a passion for minimalist lines, warmth and nobility in the materials, a functionality very focused on the client’s needs and a few touches of local craftsmanship.

the most important thing you’ve designed to date:

Our own project called Marina Gran, a Townhouse in Ses Salines, Mallorca, where we have designed the architecture, interior design and many bespoke pieces of furniture and lighting.

—one design principle or mantra you always adhere to:

Always think big.

—your dream collaboration or project:

Collaborate on a project with the architect Aires Mateus.

—a treasured item or artifact in your studio that holds special significance:

A ceramic piece by a friend who is a photographer and artist and a painting by an artist from Menorca.

—a city or place that consistently fuels your creativity and why it resonates with you:

Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion.

—penthouse or townhouse:

Townhouse      .

—on your coffee table right now:

It is always very, very tidy. I have a bottle of water, 3 copies of the Spanish magazine "arquitectura y diseño", and the iPad. I spend most of my time designing and correcting at my colleagues' desks.

—top 3 suppliers you love working with:

Construction company Consfutur, installer Alou Barcelo and carpenter Christian.

—favourite hotel in the world:

To say the best hotel in the world is saying a lot. But perhaps it is the Hotel Casa Cook Samos in Block722 for its aesthetics and integration with the water.

—design hero:

One of my heroes, now deceased, is Mies van der Rohe.  And in life, the Belgian Vincent Van Duysen.
