Designeers Says
AINA KARI captures something increasingly rare in contemporary design: patience, integrity, and emotional depth. Sculptural yet restrained, the work balances strength with sensitivity, allowing glass, marble, and metal to retain their individual voices. Through this considered approach, Marina Cighir creates objects that feel quietly alive, held in a state of tension, beauty, and intention.

AINA KARI designs and produces sculptural décor objects, decorative lighting, chandeliers, and bespoke projects rooted in the principles of slow design. Working closely with local Venetian artisans, the studio explores blown glass, marble, brass, and hand-forged metal through a dialogue between experimental processes and traditional know-how. The practice also creates design-led scented candles, developed in collaboration with fragrance experts in Paris and crafted using sustainable natural waxes. Each piece is handcrafted in Italy, resulting in unique objects defined by material character, bold colour, and unexpected form.
