PERSONA Sculptural MIRROR / Large

£1,000.00

The Persona Sculptural Mirror Large by MILA ZILA transforms traditional mirroring into a poetic sculptural object created through a process where molten glass is spun and shaped by gravity and the intuitive gestures of the maker. The layered form preserves traces of movement and craftsmanship, while the hand-blown glass body is internally silvered using a traditional technique, turning the mirror into a reflective artwork that explores material, identity, and the dialogue between form, light, and perception.

About the Designer
MILA ZILA is the artistic practice of visual artist and glass designer Ľudmila Žilková, based in Northern Bohemia, where a deep regional glassmaking heritage informs her contemporary approach to sculptural design. Working primarily with hand-blown glass, she treats the material as a living element that captures light, shapes space, and transforms depending on movement, gravity, and the surrounding environment.

Her process balances traditional craftsmanship with experimentation, allowing fire, intuition, and the natural behaviour of glass to guide the formation of each work. Rooted in respect for generational craft traditions and sustainable local production, MILA ZILA’s pieces explore the tension between material and form, stability and transformation, creating timeless objects that engage light, perception, and the human experience.
