Under the Moon and the Stars is a sculptural floor lamp that treats light as a material to be shaped rather than merely emitted. Crafted from polished aluminium, the lamp captures and refracts its surroundings, allowing light, reflection and space to interact in a constantly shifting dialogue. As ambient conditions change, so too does the perception of the object, giving it an almost ethereal presence.
Its tall, vertical form is articulated through a sequence of rhythmic facets that recall architectural structures, combining precision with visual fluidity. The faceted surfaces fragment and soften the light, dissolving the solidity of the object and blurring the line between material and immaterial. Both functional and poetic, the lamp stands as a refined example of contemporary collectible lighting design.

About the Designer

Bogdan Ciocodeică is a Bucharest-based designer whose practice sits at the intersection of architecture, sculpture and furniture design.
