Founded in 2020 by Hana Akram, IDST evolved from a personal sketchbook of ideas into a design studio characterised by narrative and a sensitivity to materials. With a background spanning Interior Design and Fine Art, and more than a decade working across the UAE’s hospitality, retail and commercial sectors, Hana created a practice where creativity and functionality meet in balance.
IDST treats interiors as expressions of identity; spaces shaped with care, intention and detail. Each project is designed to feel authentic and lived-in, uniting artistry with practicality. Today, the studio is recognised for crafting environments that tell stories, blending atmosphere and precision to create interiors that resonate on both a visual and emotional level.
