Galaxy Cabinet

The GALAXY cabinet by Eva Szumilas is conceived as a piece of functional sculpture, where precision meets celestial inspiration. Part of the Galaxy Collection (2023), the cabinet is defined by its cast aluminium structure, punctuated with cast brass studs that create a rhythmic, almost cosmic surface. Inside, a mirror-polished stainless steel interior reflects light with a quiet intensity, enhancing the sense of depth and material contrast. Handcrafted in Lebanon, the piece balances architectural rigour with a refined sensuality, offering both storage and presence within a space.

About the Designer
Eva Szumilas is a Polish-Lebanese designer whose multidisciplinary practice merges Bauhaus clarity with a sculptural, materially rich sensibility. Based in Beirut, her work reflects a dialogue between structural precision and emotional storytelling, shaped by a cross-cultural perspective spanning Poland, Cyprus, Ireland, and Lebanon. With a background in architecture, she approaches each piece as both spatial and narrative, where proportion, material, and craftsmanship are carefully considered. Collaborating closely with master artisans, Szumilas integrates traditional techniques into contemporary forms, resulting in objects that feel timeless yet deeply expressive.
