Studio ŪMA
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Studio ŪMA is a London-based interior architecture and design studio founded by Michelle Song and Amber Pan. Rooted in Eastern philosophy and an appreciation for imperfect beauty, the studio approaches design as a quiet dialogue between time, material, and space. Oxidised metals, weathered wood, softened edges, and natural patina are embraced as markers of life rather than signs of decay, allowing interiors to evolve with grace and authenticity.
Their work is characterised by a layered sensibility, where contrast plays a central role. Stillness meets movement, weight is balanced with air, and carefully composed juxtapositions bring together mid century furniture, organic forms, and objects sourced across cultures and geographies. Each project feels considered and restrained, yet deeply expressive, shaped by an intuitive understanding of atmosphere and proportion.
