Black Sun Hole Cabinet

The Black Sun Hole Cabinet by Alex Turco combines darkened timber with sculptural metalwork. Crafted from sandblasted, black-stained fir wood, the sideboard features drawers covered in patinated cast aluminium and doors decorated with a distinctive pattern created using a lost-wax cast aluminium mould. Each piece is finished and patinated by hand, resulting in a collectible design defined by material contrast, intricate detailing and artisanal craftsmanship.

About the Designer
Alex Turco is an Italian art designer working between Italy and the United States. His practice spans collectible design and painting, exploring the relationship between nature, material and form through a minimalist visual language. Rooted in Italy’s industrial and artisanal heritage, Turco creates one-of-a-kind collectible pieces using materials including marble, stone, minerals, crystals, resin and metals. His work combines geometric precision with an emphasis on surface, weight and balance, resulting in functional objects with a distinct sculptural presence.
