Designed by Edoardo Cozzani, CALYMENE explores the intersection of synthetic biology, craft, and material transformation. Combining sculpted stainless steel mesh with hand-blown Murano glass, the lamp captures a moment of transition, where organic growth meets industrial fabrication. Amber glass expands into the metal framework like living tissue, creating a form that feels both biological and engineered.

Named after an extinct prehistoric creature, CALYMENE reflects on humanity's growing role in shaping the future of life. The resulting object exists between nature and technology, functioning as both a lighting piece and a speculative artefact. With its elongated silhouette and intricate texture, the lamp offers a striking presence while inviting reflection on the evolving relationship between the natural and the man-made.
