Let’s start at the beginning. What inspired the launch of AHI Interiors?
Arch Interiors
AHI Interiors was founded from a desire to create deeply personal, livable interiors that transcend passing trends. While I’ve always been drawn to the clean lines and clarity of minimalism, I’m equally inspired by the warmth and soul of mid-century modern design.
The initial spark came from wanting to bridge those two worlds— pairing streamlined forms with rich textures, architectural precision with emotional depth. That contrast, that balance of restraint and personality, is now at the heart of our design philosophy. It defines our approach to every project: intentional, timeless, and emotionally resonant.

How would you define AHI Interiors’ signature approach to interior design?
Arch Interiors
If we had a manifesto, it would begin with: “Design should feel effortless and personal.” That belief guides everything we do.
Our signature style blends minimalist interior design with textural warmth and emotional resonance. We specialize in creating interiors that are visually clean, functionally intuitive, and deeply rooted in how our clients actually live. From the flow of natural light to the tactile feel of materials, every element is chosen with intention.
Rather than following trends, we focus on designing refined, timeless spaces that reflect the individuality of their inhabitants. At AHI Interiors, it’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about crafting environments that feel authentic, elevated, and deeply personal.

Is there a project that marked a turning point for your studio?
Arch Interiors
Yes — Soul Movement was a defining moment for us. The client came to us with a concept, but gave us full creative freedom to evolve it into something uniquely our own. That trust allowed us to take bold design risks — pairing dramatic marble surfaces, burl wood detailing, and statement tilework to create a space rich in storytelling and materiality.
The result was more than a beautiful interior—it was the first time we felt fully seen as a design studio. Soul Movement became a turning point that cemented our voice: interiors that are visually compelling, emotionally expressive, and unapologetically original. It set the tone for how we approach every project moving forward.

Can you walk us through your creative process—from concept to completion?
Arch Interiors
Everything begins with conversation and connection. We take time to understand the client’s lifestyle, values, and the emotional atmosphere they envision for their home. From there, we develop mood boards, gather visual references, and draw inspiration from art, architecture, fashion, and travel.
Our process is intuitive and material-led. Often, a single stone, textile, or finish can shift the entire design direction. We stay open to discovery, letting the tactile qualities of each material guide us. Whether it’s the texture of natural linen or the veining of marble, every detail contributes to the larger story.
The goal is to craft layered, meaningful interiors that feel quietly luxurious—spaces that are as emotionally resonant as they are visually refined.
“Design culture is about how the built environment shapes human experience, how it influences our mood, daily rituals, and sense of identity. It’s not just about how things look, but how they make us feel. ”

What materials do you return to again and again?
Arch Interiors
Stone, always. From Calacatta Viola and Carrara marble to travertine and onyx, natural stone is at the heart of our material palette. Each variety offers its own texture, movement, and emotional depth—bringing both elegance and soul to a space.
Stone is timeless and durable, but what draws us in most is its imperfection and aging process. It tells a story over time, adding authenticity and richness that can’t be replicated. Whether used for surfaces, detailing, or sculptural moments, natural stone anchors our work with quiet confidence.

Whose work do you find endlessly inspiring?
Arch Interiors
Kelly Wearstler. She’s fearless with materials and texture, yet everything she does still feels intentional. Her interiors are layered, dynamic, and bursting with personality, but always elegant. She’s a constant reminder to embrace bold choices with confidence.

What fuels your creativity outside of work?
Arch Interiors
Time with my son brings me back to the present and reminds me to see things with fresh eyes. I also scroll a lot. I’m obsessed with visual storytelling: fashion, styling, interiors, photography, it all filters into how I design. Even when I’m not working, I’m always researching, imagining, and absorbing inspiration.

Is there a small object in your home that brings you joy every day?
Arch Interiors
Yes, a ceramic vase made by a Lebanese artist who is deaf. She creates with so much intention and only shares her pieces selectively. Owning one of her works feels incredibly special. It’s imperfect, soulful, and full of meaning: just the kind of object that reminds me why I design the way I do.

Dream road trip: which three creatives would you take with you?
Arch Interiors
I’d bring Kelly Wearstler, Tadao Ando, and the Olsen twins (Ashley and Mary-Kate of The Row). Each of them sees the world differently — Kelly for her daring use of material, Tadao for his calm spatial mastery, and the Olsens for their timeless, restrained elegance. We’d drive across Japan — from Tokyo to the countryside — listening to old soul music and soaking in the rhythm of design, nature, and culture.

Finally, what does “design culture” mean to you, and how does AHI Interiors contribute to it?
Arch Interiors
Design culture is about how the built environment shapes human experience, how it influences our mood, daily rituals, and sense of identity. It’s not just about how things look, but how they make us feel.
At AHI Interiors, we aim to create spaces that are emotionally intelligent, visually refined, and deeply personal. We’re contributing to design culture by prioritising feeling over flash, storytelling over status, and timelessness over trend.
