Describe the Haldon House aesthetic in three words.

Haldon House

Soulful, eclectic, and personal.

DESIGNEERS

Your backgrounds span everything from Google’s experiential design team to leading high-growth tech ventures. How have these experiences shaped the way you approach interior design?

Haldon House

Our diverse backgrounds set Haldon House apart. My experience designing immersive brand environments at Google taught me to think holistically, from structures and interiors to interactive touchpoints. I bring that same precision and creativity to interiors, architecture, and landscape, ensuring a seamless, cohesive experience.

Andre’s expertise in entrepreneurship, operations, and problem-solving adds rigor and flawless execution. Together, we balance creativity with decisiveness, crafting interiors that are unique, strategic, and deeply client-led.

Haldon House interiors feel at once timeless and tailored. What’s your process for achieving that sense of quiet luxury while still reflecting a client’s personality?

Haldon House

We start with the client’s aesthetic and layer it with the history of the home and neighbourhood. By mixing bespoke pieces with approachable, lived-in elements, we achieve a quiet luxury that feels personal rather than overly formal. This high/low design philosophy ensures interiors are elevated yet welcoming.

DESIGNEERS

Autumn, your past work translated emotion into immersive experiences. How does that sensibility now inform how you plan, layer, and style a home?

Haldon House

For me, design is rooted in emotion and storytelling. I create spaces where people can gather, slow down, and feel deeply connected, whether through family rituals, entertaining, or retreating. Each home becomes an extension of who our clients are, layered with meaning and designed to resonate on a personal level.

DESIGNEERS

Andre, you bring an entrepreneurial lens to Haldon House. How does your expertise in operations and client experience elevate the studio’s approach to project delivery?

Haldon House

I bring a strategic, operations-first approach. My background managing complex teams and businesses ensures projects stay on track, on budget, and delivered to the highest quality. Coming from the tech world, I’m adept at scaling processes without compromising craftsmanship, creating value quickly while protecting the integrity of design.

You work with a select number of clients across the U.S.—what makes a project the right fit for you?

Haldon House

We focus on transformative residential projects — ground-up builds or major renovations. These allow us to act as the client’s representative, overseeing every detail as designer, project manager, and advocate. The right fit is a client who values the process and wants a cohesive, elevated outcome.

Which three suppliers or makers are you currently loving and returning to time and time again?

Haldon House

Zak+Fox for timeless textiles and rugs

Nanz for beautifully detailed hardware

RTO Lighting in Philadelphia for sculptural, handcrafted fixtures

If you could splurge on one hero element, plasterwork, a hand-knotted rug, or an antique light fixture, what would you choose and why?

A 1950s Ignazio Gardella lounge chair. It perfectly embodies functional luxury design — reclining comfort with iconic brass “duck feet.” It’s a statement piece and the star of any room.

DESIGNEERS

If your design style were a scent, what would it smell like?

Haldon House

A little sweet, a little smoky, deeply layered — a sensory experience that evolves depending on how you live with it.

DESIGNEERS

When you need fresh inspiration, where do you go or what do you do to reset your creative energy?

Haldon House

Travel always sparks creativity. For me, it’s also watching old concerts, the raw creativity of Bruce or Billy in the ’80s reminds me of design’s limitless potential.

For Andre, inspiration comes from driving sports cars and vintage classics: the speed, focus, and precision clear the mind and fuel fresh ideas.
